I thought it was very difficult if you have not been resident for 2 out of the last 5 yrs? Do you have significant ties to Australia still? Cheers. Oh and congratulations!! Having an Australian partner who wants to come home is a pretty good tie to Australia and if the Australian partner has been working overseas, that's a pretty compelling reason for an absence.
