When applying for the visa how long does it take to come back? And can they still refuse you??? Ozmaniac Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 If you have 65 points, it should only take 1 or perhaps 2 invitation rounds to get an invitation. With only 60 points, you can expect a wait for a year or more for an invitation. Once you receive an invitation and lodge a visa application, you can expect processing to take 3 - 6 months. If you only have 60 points but haven't claimed the maximum 20 points for English, you can submit the 60 point EOI (to get into the ranking queue) and do IELTS or one of the other English tests until you can update your EOI with additional points.
