Working Holiday Visa - Supporting documents

Good morning,

A couple of weeks ago my husband applied for his Working Holiday Visa - He has a couple of small convicitions from 8 years ago when he was at college (resulting in just fines). Therefore he stated these on his application and they asked for details. He went away and got all the details (dates, fine amounts etc) and submitted these on Sunday night. Since then we haven't heard anything. Does he need to upload a copy of his passport, bank statement to show he has the $5000 in his account and any other bits and pieces?

If so, do the scanned copies of his passport etc need to be certified?

Many thanks

His application is obviously being processed without a copy of his passport - I've read posts from several people recently who were granted 417s from the application form alone so it's evidently not needed unless specifically requested. You never need to provide bank details for a 417 before you actually arrive in Australia and probably not even then - only a random selection of people are asked for evidence of finances. If you do need to send any documents, colour scans of originals don't need to be certified.

Thank you. Would it be best to upload a copy of his passport to support his application? We just want to try everything to make sure everything is okay.

It's like our lives are in limbo!!

They don't need a copy of his passport because it is all electronic.

They need to assess his criminal convictions to see if he is eligible for the visa, the other parts are not relevant if they need a copy of passport and bank statements they will request it.
