JEM44
Is it possible to get a mortgage using a UK pension as a wage? I am am planning on working but my hubby wants to claim his pension and maybe look for part time work, his pension should pay approx £20k a year. Would we be able to get a mortgage? Andrew from Vista Financial
Hi Laura It will really boil down to a whole range of factors based on your overall personal situation as to whether a mortgage can be obtained however in relation to using foreign pension income for servicing.....some lenders will not accept this as a form of servicing income, some will consider on a case by case and some will accept (generally if accepted only 80% is accepted to allow for currency fluctuations). Kind regards Andy
