Vikki81
Hello again all, Has anyone applied for a skills assessment for an industrial engineer (ANZSCO: 233511)? I was curious as to whether a degree in Industrial Engineering would be sufficient to pass a skills assessment or if they also required some work experience in the field? Thank you all
Ozmaniac
If you have a Washington Award degree in Industrial Engineering, you do not need any work experience to pass Engineers Australia skills assessment. If you don't have a WA degree, then you must get skills assessment via CDR and will need work experience for the career episodes.
Vikki81
Thank you. I just had a look and Iran / Iraq are not on the list. This obviously means that in order to qualify the applicant will need work experience
Ozmaniac
Check out the EA Migration Skills Assessment booklet to make sure. Don't just take my word. http://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/about-us/migration-skills-assessment

Vikki81
I've read through it and it seems that no work experience is necessary. The career episodes can relate to work experience OR engineering education (tasks undertaken as part of education). :jiggy:
