I'm a Carpenter and Joiner by trade and have just had my Trade Assessed. I'm handling the Visa application myself so cutting out the cost of the Agent fees. So far so good. Ive got 55 points based on Age, Qualificatons (Diploma being the highest), Experience. Does anyone know if you get 5 points extra for getting AQF Certificate III? So that I can apply for visa sublass 189. If not then I will apply for subclass 190 (State sponsored) Thanks Neel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So if you have already factored in 10 for a diploma, you could only get more by having a degree, which would give you 15. I recommend you try IELTS, there are up to 20 points available through that.
