InNeedOfSun
Hi, Hopefully some one can advise on the situation below, I have been trawling the internet, contacting DIBP and ACS but I never get a solid answer! I got a positive assessment from ACS for 263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer but as per the rules they knocked off my first 5 years out of 9 as not being deemed skilled. My questions to you are - 1) Has anyone ever claimed work experience points for their full work period including the 'not deemed skilled' time and been successful in getting a visa? 2) Can you claim 'not deemed skilled' as closely related to your occupation? ACS claim that it is DIBP decision and DIBP say that it is up to the case officer. I only want a concrete answer and don't want to gamble my visa fee. Thanks in advance
ozee
You can claim points only for years after you're qualified according with ACS criteria. In your case only for 4 years. Your application will be rejected if total number of points are less than DIBP counting.
