Brian Marcon Posted March 12, 2014 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Hi All, Currently serving in the British Army hoping for tranche 4 redundancy to help set me and the wife and daughter up in Perth WA. my question is the qualifications I hold here in the UK, NEBOSH general and fire safety + IOSH are they transferable to Australia? or would i have to retrain in there H&S sector? any help and advice be great Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Eera Posted March 12, 2014 Share Posted March 12, 2014 There are a few threads here asking about NEBOSH; general consensus seems to be that there's little understanding as to what it is and it's usually not recognised. You generally will need at the very least Cert IV in WHS, preferably diploma, and a trainer assessor ticket. You can ask your training organisation if they can RPL some of what you've done, but you are working under a completely different set of legislation so there's not direct transfer as far as I'm aware.
