PeterJa
Hi, I submitted my Skilled Independent EOI this weekend. Does anyone know how long I should expect to wait for an answer please, or what are the variables that change the waiting time? Does marital status and number of children influence it? Thanks a lot, PJ.
raychelsb
Hi PJ, my husband and I went through 2 rounds and got invited to apply on the 2nd round so only had to wait 3 weeks. (You know invites are twice a month - 1st and 3rd Monday of each month?) We had the minimum 60 points. The more points, the higher up the queue you go, and the longer you have been waiting, you move up. So it depends on the skill you have (on how many get invited a month for that skill) how many points and the length of time you have been waiting. Good Luck, hope you get an invite soon, he short wait killed us!

PeterJa
Hi, thanks all for the advice. Does it take some time to get onto the list? The reason I ask is looking at the last round my profession has a threshold of 60 points but I have 70. Thanks, PJ

GiveAGirlShoes
Hi I am living in the uk and want to join my son in Australia, anyone got any idea how much a parent visa costs, how long it takes and will I get accepted with a health condition needing immune suppressive drugs There's a sticky for parent visas at the very top of migration issues. Never looked at it myself but may be a good starting point for you if you've not already seen it?
