britchap Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Hi there, first post so please bear with me! Hoping someone may have experience/knowledge on the following... I have savings here in the UK, which (hopefully) once settled in Oz, I'm hoping to use to make a house purchase in WA. Does anyone know if this can simply be transferred into an Australian bank account, is there a limit on how much can be transferred if so etc.? Also, if I do manage to successfully purchase a property in WA, and decide Oz is not for me (!!), are there going to be any issues transferring the money back into a UK bank account upon selling (limits etc)? thediggler Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 I'd suggest speaking to someone like Moneycorp who can arrange this for you, and get you a better exchange rate than what your bank would offer. I was just wondering if there were any restrictions on the amount of money being brought into/taken out of the country...just trying to cover all bases!
