BCP
Hi All, New to the forum but wanted to get any advice on possibility of migrating to Oz. I am over 50 (just) with wife and two children 11 & 7. Currently I'm a programme manager with background in three blue chip banks and 1 blue chip manufacturer. Have looked at various websites but think the age part would be against me (us). Any views?....thanks.
dewi
Hi, Yes if you are aiming for skilled migration, age can be a problem. But you may look at other visa options (investor or business perhaps)? Who knows you might find something.
Guest
Unfortunately you have to be under 50 to apply for independent skilled visa. There may be other routes and I have known for state sponsorship to be offered to over 50s with exceptional skills. Probably worth an initial discussion with a migration agent to see if there are options available to you.
