Guest scott&lisa
Hi Everyone, We arrived in Melbourne on Tuesday 22nd at 5.15am  !!! After an interesting flight with 2 young children (2 1/2 yrs and 10 mths) we have been busy for the last two days sorting out the important bits - place to rent, bank accounts, car etc...basically we have seriously hit the ground running! Not suffered too badly from jet lag and the babies seem to have adjusted without any problems. So many things still to sort but feel we are getting there. We are now looking forward to meeting new friends and finally making Oz our home. Cheers for now Lisa, Scott and Girls PS Haven't seen any spiders yet!!!!!!!

Hope all continues to go well for you... we won't be far behind you, God willing!!! Hi Krista, We have viewed a number of properties and decided on what is called here a single storey house (bungalow to you and me) in Point Cook. We are only renting so if we don't like the area etc we can always move on. The easy bits. ....everyone is quite helpful so if you have any problems all you do is ask, most people are willing to go out of their way to help. The hard bits .....being out of our comfort zone and not knowing anything or anyone but of course that will change!!! Good luck to you for when you make the move!!!! Guest scott&lisa
Hi Scott and Lisa. Hope you are having a great time in Oz! Any tips on keeping the kids happy on the plane??? How was the journey? Daisydeeds Hi Daisydeeds, Sorry for the delay in replying but since moving into our rental property have been without internet but finally got it sorted today!! Keeping the kids happy on the plane.....ummmmm.........drug them!!!!!!! Honestly, for the first leg (7hrs from Manchester to Dubai) I got some Phenergan from the Doctor and gave it to my two year old. It did the trick and she slept - although my 11 month didn't have it and she slept as well. As for the second leg.....12 hours to Melbourne, not so good neither of them slept very well and I was separated from the Hubby so I had both girls to try and occupy while he watched a movie!!!!!!!!! Anyway all in all - yes it is a long flight but it wasn't that bad even when the girls played up a bit and before you know it you arrive in OZ. Good luck to you - how far along are you? Cheers Lisa and Co

Take care Mo x Hi Mo, We have settled well into our rental in Point Cook and Hubby has just landed himself a job so all in all things going well  Not sure whether we will remain here once our lease is up - more areas to discover!!! Point cook is a lovely area though, very quiet where we are. We have bought a car and furnished the house although still waiting for our container to arrive in a few weeks. Just need to sort out playgroup/child care and then most things will have been sorted!! Sounds like everything is working out for you too! We haven't had chance to travel down your way yet but hope to before hubby starts work in a week. Take care and stay in touch! Lisa
