McKlaut
Hey guys! How soon did you receive your acknowledgement letters and visa fee receipt from the department? Submitted paper application 1.5 weeks ago. Money debited last Wednesday. Still no confimation. Do they send it by post or e-mail? (every time I call different consultent says different) Is there any way you can ask them to make it faster? My wife needs Medicare urgently and I'd like to have a bit of service for the $4575 we paid for the visa application.
Guest
If the application has been received and money has been debited, consider that as your application is lodged I reckon. You'll get a CO contact you at some point.
McKlaut
Hi Snifter. I know that. Thanks. The point is we need formal acknowledgement letter to be able to apply for Medicare.
Guest
Can your wife access the reciprocal emergency health cover that exists if she is in Aus on a tourist visa currently? http://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/medicare/reciprocal-health-care-agreements/health-care-for-visitors-to-australia Eta - although having lodged am not sure this cancels out current visa already or only cancels when actual bridging visa is issued.
