Sydney,Brisbane and Melbourne do have a number of UNIX (Mostly Linux these days) System Admin jobs listed on the most popular job portals in Australia (Seek and Mycareer). But there's a lot of competition in Sydney and Melbourne and you would be very lucky to secure an interview whilst overseas. Perth has fewer opportunities but the competition is also lesser, so you may stand a better chance. Do you have any certifications as well?
