Any Financial Advisors in Sans Souci area?

I need to find an advisor who has experience of UK pensions.

I am on the point of buying my annuity from my UK pension provider.I am in Sans Souci area.Sydney.NSW 2219.

Any advice would be much appreciated.Thanks.

Hi

 

If you are looking to purchase a UK Annuity with your UK Pension you are better off speaking directly to a UK Adviser who is authorised to provide advice on UK annuity and income drawdon products (as an annuity is not the only option).

 

Even if an Adviser in the Australia has experience of UK pensions/annuities they would need to be authorised to provide you with UK financial product advice for setting up a UK annuity/income drawdon product.

 

That said have you looked into the merits of transferring the UK pension to Australia?

Hi,We are expecting to leave when our 457 is up in 3 years,if we cant get PR.

I think we may then have probs with HMRC if trying draw pension from Oz provider?

Yes, unwise to transfer a Pension if a temporary resident due to potential issues like highlighted around not obtaining permanent residency.

 

If you can get PR would you then stay?

 

Do you require the income from the UK pension at this time?

 

If not perhaps you can consider deferring the annuity/income drawdown purchase until such time as you know about your visa etc?
