samreach
Hi everyone. I've just obtained a 190 skilled nominated visa for WA. I'm just wondering how the nomination process works. After a job is secured, who needs to be informed and how does the sponsor work? Don't really know too much on the subject. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. deeacz
As I understand it if you have a 190 state sponsor visa you have permanent Residency, you can apply for any jobs you like. They want you to live and work in WA for 2 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
samreach
Yeah I understand that. Was just wondering what the sponsor actually is. If you understand? Once I have a job, who sorts out the sponsor? The employer or myself Also I work in construction, can I apply for any job I want? Or is it only certain work? deeacz
On a 190 state sponsorship You can apply for any work you want to. I for example have state sponsorship through WA as a restaurant manager, but I don't have to work as that it just that there is a demand for my occupation so should in theory be jobs in that field. The state has sponsored you so now you have your visa you don't need to do anything else, just arrive in WA within 12 months of visa being granted, when you arrive sort out a tax number, Medicare card etc and that's all you don't need to get any sponsor for a job or anything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
samreach
Ahhh OK I see. As far as I was concerned I had to have a sponsor within 28 days of arriving in Oz? And I had to have a sponsor for the first 3 year.
