Pkayb
Hi, we arrived in Brisbane on a 457 visa 2 weeks ago and loving it. We have secured a rental in Victoria Point and would like to know of a good Primary school for our children aged 8 and 6, we have researched the local schools and they seem to be under achieving. Can anybody recommend some good schools nearby please. Thank you.
samshep
Ormiston state is the best but has catchment area, wellington point, cleveland and thornlands good. If you want to pay then Sheldon is the best, Vicky point isn't known for its schools, mount cotton?

Scottish surfer
We chose to rent in the Ormiston State School catchment area as the school has a good reputation and is quite small. We also looked at Ormiston College but they have a waiting list. My children started at Ormiston in September and seem to have had a good start. Most other state schools don't have catchment areas so you should look around. Good luck
