How long would it take to clear customs if the container is: 1. quarantined 2. not being quarantined 3. transport from Brisbane to Mackay or closeby (Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton, Gladstone) Any indication, from your experiences, once your container arrived in terms of a timeline for delivery at your house? Ali B Posted December 29, 2012 Share Posted December 29, 2012 In Melbourne non quarantined clears pretty quickly 4-7 days. No idea about quarantined. Or timing in BNE. Check with your removalist, email them in UK or the receiving office in Oz. They can say pretty precisely. Whenever we've shipped we've always done door-to-door so the onward part from BNE to Mackay should be covered in the costs you paid. Again, check with removalists. Left UK via Felixstowe on November 5th and arrived in Hobart on 20 December. Quarantine check was 24th December and all clear. Delivered to house Dec 27th.
