Guest Scorpio Posted August 19, 2012 Share Posted August 19, 2012 Hi all, i am going to do a teaching qualification next year (PGCE) and i would dearly love to be able to move to Australia to teach in 3 years - at least that is the plan.........there is a snag - i have arthritis, and am on a costly medication called Humira, which i self inject. What i would like to know, is where would i stand with this, if i wanted to come to Australia as a permanent resident with my wife and child - would i qualify for healthcare and if so, would i pay more because of my condition......and if so, how much? I am no mercenary and realise that people taking resources are hardly 1st choice, but i have alot to offer and would love to move to Australia - i am just worried i cannot because of my condition all help welcome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You would probably be best chatting with an agent like George Lombard who would give you a good idea where you stand. Im not sure how often you need the injection or the dose but it's very expensive here as well $1,871 40mg/0.8ml to be honest do you want to come here if you are paying that amount?
