Moving to Melbourne on a one year working visa !! Need some advice please

Hello all

 

Me and my boyfriend are moving to melbourne next year from the uk for a year to start on a one year working visa!! We are looking to have about 13thousand aus dollars with us to make a good start and wanna find a nice apartment to rent but wasn't sure if we would be accepted a tenancy as we will be on a visa can anyone help plus was looking at jobs if anyone has any advice about moving to Melbourne I would really appreciate it thanks Sarah xxx

Welcome, you could look at realestate.com.au to get some idea of rents. Living near to the city does not come cheap. Jobs, well it depends what you will be doing. If you want to work in a bar or restaurant then you need to do a course to get the appropriate certificates, responsible delivery of alcohol, food handling. Every State is different so you need to do the Victorian certificates.

 

Call centres are usually looking for workers but need to be experienced.
