My husband and I have only just started our visa process so it will take at least 12-18 months. But out of interest we were hoping to go to Adelaide, is there much call for carpet fitters and how long have you been there for. Ian has been carpet fitter for 18 years. Please let us know if you ae there, if you are enjoying it and if there is much work. Guest aussie bunch Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 Try the carpet fitting division of Le Cornu (a large furniture and carpet warehouse type place) - rang them last week and was told they are always looking out for good carpet fitters (there is a shortage so he said) - the guy in charge of the division is also an ex-pat. I am really sad that i cant take it with me to Australia but I will see maybe i will find a way ...
