Guest WishIdneverleft Posted June 24, 2012 Share Posted June 24, 2012 RANGERS have caught a huge croc from a river where people were reported to have been swimming just days earlier.Parks and Wildlife rangers caught the 4.81m saltie from the Adelaide River yesterday. Ranger Robbie Risk said the rogue reptile had been giving fishermen grief and had eaten at least one dog. He said there also had been reports of people swimming in the river near where the croc was caught. "We put one of our mobile traps in the river last week, about 5km downstream of the township, and got a call yesterday from a fisherman that the croc was in the trap," Mr Risk said. Parks and Wildlife Service rangers removed three crocodiles from a creek near the Palmerston sewerage ponds last night.
