flooring in oz

hi everybody, anybody no about the flooring trade in oz, im moving out to the goldcoast in march, and looking for work. i have had a job offerin toowong, but looking more towards the gd.

Sorry Andy cant really help you but thought I would bump up your thread!

 

So what do you need to know about the flooring trade? Do you tile the floors and laminate them and all that type of thing? Sorry probably dumb question but thought i'd ask anyway.

No problem for carpet fitters/flor finishers out here, plenty of work on the Gold Coast, my husband could work 7 days a week if he wanted to!

thanks for that sarah, i do carpets contract and domestic also safety flooring coved work to, amtico and all the normal stuff like screeding etc. is the money any good out there. i here they don't pay by the square meter?? where looking a coomera area to live, when i was out there last year andersons offered me work in indoorphilly. (i think thats how you spell it)

also are the price of vans much different to the uk?

and have you all settled well out there, we have three children 8/ 3/ years and 7 weeks what are the school like?
