barry family Posted May 29, 2012 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Hi we are at the very begining of starting our visa and have visited Cairns, Adelaide and Melbourne and loved them all. But do not know which one to choose to hopefully move to. The advice i`m wanting to know is which place is the best for employment? I`m a brickie and my wife is an accounts assistant. But would do any work. Would hate to pay all money on visa then be unable to find work! any advice would be much appreciated. Guest The Pom Queen Posted May 29, 2012 Share Posted May 29, 2012 I've lived in Melbourne for 8 yrs and Cairns for 2 (I think, I can't even remember when we came over) personally I prefer Cairns as do the kids, BUT, I will be honest and say I think you will struggle up here for work, your wife may be ok but not many brickie jobs.
