Skills assessment for pr

Recommended Posts

Hi all dilemma,

on 457 visa have been here for 9 months, looks like I'm gonna lose LAFHA which leaves me with empty pockets big time. I am now thinking the quickest way to become a PR even though I don't know where my future lies.

Has anyone had a skills assessment and do they know the costs?

My other option is to sit out the 2 years. Also can I only lodge an application after 2 years and not before and what is the rough timescale after lodging?

I am really struggling to follow all the rules and costs but need to some help as waiting another 15 months will give me massive financial problems.

Any positive help appreciated

the two years I think only means you can apply without a skills assessment. You can apply at anytime befoe the two years provided you're eligible, just the same as if you'd applied straight away for a PR visa.
