petersloan Posted May 4, 2012 Share Posted May 4, 2012 Guys just wanting some advice/info on working conditions for a carpenter or tree surgeon.. I am a joiner/carpenter by trade though in the last few years I've retrained and am now a qualified tree climber/arborist I've heard conflicting stories regarding wages and conditions for both trades and am wondering which would be best for me? I think carpenters would earn more money but truth be told I love the tree work and if it mean't earning less but being happy at my work i'd gladly do it!! We're heading for Melbourne and if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect i.e. company vehicles, hours worked, overtime and potential salaries I'd be grateful. I've looked on seek.com.au and emailed a few companies for info (with no replies) and any help from you guys out there would be great!! Thanks Peter..
