gazhutch
Hi all. Myself, my wife and 2 children are looking to emigrating to the gold coast this year. Our problem so far has being working out which visa can get us in. From the hours of reading I have done I seem to think the Occupational Trainee Visa is our best option. My partner is qualified at NVQ level 3 in health & social care (equivalent to a diploma in Australia) but this does not qualify her as a registered nurse. From the research I have done, I think my partner would be classed as an enrolled nurse. I am only a semi-skilled electrician so I don't qualify on the skills list for the other types of visa. As an enrolled nurse you don't make the skills list but the Occupational trainee visa seems to give people like my wife a chance to train to become a registered nurse through a company that will sponsor her? My wife is looking to work in the aged care industry. If there is anyone who has used this visa or knows more about this visa any info would be of great help. things like salary for the training period? any restrictions? how long it takes to get this type of visa? Or if anyone knows another way we can emigrate? I also read that the partner of the visa holder can only work 20 hours per week? If that is the case and my partner gets a training wage how are you suppost to survive with two children to provide for.
