Thanks! My family and I are excited about our potential move. But it is a waiting game now. Our agent has just lodged the application and I am confident I have provided all the possible documents needed. What kind of time frame should I expect? 8 or 9 months?

Hi Travelbugkim, Just an update. South Australia invited me about a month ago. My Migration agent is lodging in the next week or so. I have all the necessary documents in place. I only had 70 points so I didn’t really expect any result. So I was thrilled to get the invite. Again, I used the IELTS to to boost my already paltry points up to 70. For many months, I just had Victoria down as the only state in my EOI but nothing was happening. In early April, I switched to ‘any state’. Eight days later South Australia invited me.

Thanks for advice Kim. Likewise, I’ll give it a few more months and look into that IELTs idea.

Yes Kim, I have just selected Victoria. ROI is in for months now. At the end of January I got the standard email - Your ROI was not selected in this round, however it has been assessed as eligible. Your ROI will remain under consideration for selection in the next round. I’m teaching in SE Asia at the moment in a British School. Really yearn to move to Victoria. Fingers crossed for both of us! kieran

Hi Travelbugkim, Did you ever have any luck with the 190 Visa EOI/ROI for Victoria? I am a primary school teacher with similar points level to yours and I've put Victoria down as the state in my 190 EOI. Kieran.
