Does anyone know if we are required to have a medical for this visa 870 or just show we have medical cover? Coming fromUK THANKS

does anybody have experience of medical requirements for 870 coming from UK. I have been refused permanent visa on medical grounds but my agent says I can still get through on an 870. What do they check in the medical please? Do they refuse this on medical grounds even though you have to cover own medical costs. Thanks for any help
