  1. Thanks again everyone. We’ve just had notification this morning that his visas been approved so now it should hopefully just be the flight not getting cancelled and a PCR test in the way!
  2. Thank you all for your responses. I supposed I'm just a bit nervous on his behalf in case his flight gets cancelled! He's flying with Etihad and I think they're supposed to be on top of things and not taking 'more' passengers than they will be allowed to take. He is aware he has to quarantine for two weeks, he'll be having computer equipment delivered to his hotel apparently so he can work throughout. I think the visa is a 400(?) temporary work visa. I think the reason they're holding off is perhaps because they don't want the visa to be approved too early before he goes but I'm certainly not an expert. Thanks again :)
  3. Hello all, My partner has successfully applied to do a six month secondment with a large accounting firm (on the priority skills list if that helps). The firm in question has paid for a business class flight in the middle of September and I’m just a bit worried (but don’t want worry him) that he might not be able to go given what seems to be a lot of media attention around covid in Oz. Had anyone been through this recently? Do you think it’s likely he will be going? As far as I’m aware his firm are holding off on the visa application until the last minute so that hasn’t been approved yet. (Can’t remember the visa number unfortunately, it will be a six month long specialist work visa) Thanks in advance for any input or relevant experience at all!
