That’s what I’d think yes - I was assuming I’d be waiting another month or two, based on others’ experiences, but I’m in Regional Vic so it’s seems it’s been a very tiny bit quicker (but by a month, nothing to sell your house and move for haha).
Not everyone. I'm from NSW and still waiting.

Exciting Morning! I got approved, having checked immi account just now!
It's really a long journey, but ultimately appreciate all mates in this forum and the DHA!
Congrats, that's just leave me.

Ding, I fully understand your frustration, however here is my advise:
1. If DHA tells your case in processing, there is nothing much you can do but wait. I had a similar situation with my PR which took over a year to process. Sometimes you just really get unlucky with an officer, which causes you much more delays than it should be. I've been there. Yes it is unfair, but nothing to do about it.
2. Even if you get approved right now, I doubt things will go fast - my friends who had their ceremonies cancelled a day before it supposed to be (due to COVID) are still waiting for any information.
3. Good strategy right now is just unwind your mind and forget about the process until they notify you.
I attached the processing time at this moment, and as you can see from the date of application to decision it is 15 months. Considering your overseas case you are most likely in that 10% which can take longer. I also bet you are not alone, and there are thousands of people stuck just like you, not aware of this forum to share same story.Yeah and you don't have to go far to find one, I'm a living proof. I've been waiting for approval since early March.

Dose anyone have any idea about how long the integrity & security checking will take? DHA told me that due to my offshore more than 3 month, the previous check has been expired, and they are processing it again. Just want to have a time estimate how long I have to wait for my approval. Thanks.
How did you make them to answer to you. Whenever I call they just tell me to wait, they dont even ask for my information.

I applied 3rd March 2021 and have my citizenship ceremony next week. Whilst its great that the time is faster than expected why do they publish 27 months processing time online/
Because your'e the lucky one mate

Me too. I had to wait 7 weeks, my partner waited 8 weeks.
@Chelsearoxanna Have you done your ceremony yet? I think you had a date for when the lockdown happened, no?
Mine passed 4 months now since I took my test and still waiting. Called DHA couple of times and the same answer each time "Just wait!".

Hi - I live in City of Sydney. I applied on January 2 2021. Got invited to interview, showed my docs and passed the test on 10 May 2021. Haven't heard a word since, still showing "Received" on Immi. I have no reason to suspect why my application is anything other than routine: all the required docs were uploaded.
Is this length of time between interview and approval unusual? Is there any prospect of approval whilst Sydney remains locked down? Does DOHA still work from home in lockdown on approvals? Or is everything closed?
Hi, don't you think you've been a bit impatient. Just read other ppl's posts and see how long others been waiting!

Everytime i call the Department they say i'm within timelines and they cant check my application and i have to wait, i did ask for FOI and received the results and all screenshots showed all green and No matches in any of the security checks , which means all going well and nothing pending. but no approval
Hi, I've been waiting for approval since March. How did you apply for FOI?

Are you still offshore? Any correspondences related to your further assessment status?
I'm not offshore, and no, no correspondences yet.

Hi friends,
Just wondering what factors decide how long it takes from citizenship test to application approval?
I think once you've got that "Further Assessment", it's an indication for a long wait. I'm same as you stuck in Further Assessment since 3rd of March.

Have you requested FOI ?
No I haven't yet.

Is there anyone on here still waiting for approval after completing their test in Darwin on 31 March 2021?
I see so many people on here got approved on the same day and then I am not sure if I should be concerned for still not waiting for approval since March...
Well, I'm from Sydney Parramatta and I think I'm holding a record here, been waiting since 3rd of March.

What's the issue here
I was asked to fill up and send form 1399, so I guess they are doing some sort of background check? beats me.

Hi all
I applied for citizenship from Melbourne in June 2020 and this morning received my invitation to interview!
I have an emailed scan of my birth certificate but not the real hard copy. Will this suffice or do I need to get my parents to send it from the UK?
Thanks
I was asked for a hard copy of my birth certificate in my interview. So I'd take everything that mentioned in the appointment letter with me just in case.
Good luck!
