  1. So assuming you're from the UK you won't need to take anymore tests. The OP is onshore. There is no concession for on sure applications for the resident requirements. There work requirements have reduced from 12 to 9 months. The concessions are fairly straight forward and can be found here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-887#Eligibility Thanks all for the feedback. Seems that I may have to retake my IELTS. I applied for my 489 through a migration agent previously, and was told then that I will only need to satisfy 2 years + 1 year full time work. Really appreciate the info provided guys!
  2. Hi all, I've been reading through the Home Affairs website and still unable to get clarity on my scenario. We are a family of 3 (myself+wife+6 year old). Currently on a 489 visa with plans to apply for 887 in the near future. My Visa 489 was granted on 13 April 2019 (valid til 13 April 2023) Visa condition is "8539 - Live, study and work in a specified area" I came over to Adelaide on 26 August 2019, and have not left since. My wife and daughter came over on 25 Dec 2019 (and also have not left since). My full time job started on 18 May2020 (still currently in the same job). My IELTS was on March 2018 (Overall 8.0) and my wife took hers on March 2019 (Overall 8.0) Questions in regards to application for 887 Visa: 1) If I am the main applicant for 887 Visa, can I apply as soon as 26 August 2021? Or will I need to wait until 25 Dec 2021 as my wife and daughter came over that time? 2) What are the language requirements (if any?). I have been reading that some will be required to submit a "valid" IELST while some says its not required for the 887. Thanks a million in advanced for your advice!
