Consequently  it was June 2017 before we applied - so now I’ve been waiting  over 3 years and as the queue  ballooned out In May/June 2016 and again in May/June 2017 I think I’m looking at nearly another 3.5 - 4 years!! 

How do you know 3.5 to 4 years?! I applied for my parent in November 2016.

Also, if this amount processed at say 500 visas per month, or just just processed as-and-when until the quota is reached?

I was hoping my Aug 2016 application would be reaching the 'request for further docs and medical' stage around Sep/Oct this year based on current trends.

I checked through and find out it is time for who applied from may to June 2016 ,so it will take 3 more months I believe, why did you say that!!!!???
