    5 applicants.

Hmm, i think no. of applicant also makes a difference , more the no. of applicant slow the processing, i could be wrong but looking at some of the grants that is the feeling which i get , obviosuly all other factors are also contributing, Skill, nationality

Yes applied on February 2019 , still waiting. Nomination approved in may 2019 visa is pending. I really don’t know what is wrong .

That is a lot of wait , what is your job code and also are you onshore or offshore? apologies if you have already provided this info

Thanks for your reply, since nomination is approved and if you are in onsite, that means you are in bridging visa for 186?

Since my 457 was expired my bridging visa for 186 DE has been activated. But not sure how long it will take me to get the grant.

Bridging Visa will activate in May , hopefully by then we should have news 🤞

Any Idea what's happening in immigration, why they are not processing pending files, what if given timeframe is over?

In Dec and Jan usually quite a less number of application get processed hence we will have to see the trend in Feb next year. Processing time looks better just because they are processing new files quicker and that shows a better average.

  6. Immigration atleast need to have a process where in processing happens as first in first out basis unless somebodies documents are pending, Current approach is not good enough, For TRT they are extremly slow , There have to be a way to give them a feedback in bulk. If they do not have vacancy or priority then either they can close some skills or toughen the prerequisite.I recon they are waiting for people to withdraw application as they have no reason to refuse and only way they can achieve the same outcome if they delay the processing. Applying any rules retrospectively is another problem

    Hi,

Can anyone please explain me what should i do to speed up my 186 trt visa application?
I think im the only 1 in this forum who is waiting since February 2019.
Nomination already approved in may 2019. Its been more than 18 months i am waiting for my visa to come.

Kindly advise me, my MA is very useless.

    Thankyou.

You should call them and ask them to priotise the application considering this is way past the normal processing time

  8. Especially unfair for the people whi have already applied, In ICT lots of skill codes are very close to each other and if somebody has gone with one which is not in PMSOL then that becomes an issue as well. New people have a benefit as they can do the skill assessment only with PMSOL code and that will fast track the process

My company name is also there but still waiting for more than 8 months

Case officer’s have been diverted to the priority application including Regional, Family visa as well as Global talent visa , that is one of the main reason why the no. of grant in 186 has reduced drastically, i am afraid for some months things will not improve . I am not sure for me i can go with software engineer job code also but starting all process again will also be time consuming starting from skill assessment(ACS)

It seems the number of visas granted in September has decreased to 465 (441 onshore + 24 offshore) and most of them are from the priority list. (It was 1149 in July and 626 in August). See

    https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/files/2020/fa-201000191-document-released.PDF

    https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/files/2020/fa-200900939-document-released.PDF

On the other hand, at the end of September they had 14802 applications on hold. See

    https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/files/2020/fa-201000207-document-released.PDF

With this pace, it should take around three years in average to get a visa. Considering the fact that they are mainly focusing on the priority list, perhaps even longer.

On hold application includes Primary and secondary applicant, On an average there would at least 2 applicant for Visa, which means , total on hold is not more than 7000 in my view. Out of that 3 to 4 K would have piled up in recent few months. Let's keep hope things will get better
