    I booked November 15 for Melbourne, So I rebooked Turkish Airlines to Sydney on 21st of November instead just to be safe than sorry haha

    Yeah I did book tickets to melb but it got canceled... I have no choice to find tickets for either Sydney/Adelaide so my partner can do her quarantine there and come melb after 😕

    Visa Granted: 6th October,2020 (17.5 months)

    Cant thank enough to members of #pomsinoz for their help and support,  Good luck to all the couples who are in the process. Hang in there it will happen soon. 

    anyone who is booking tickets to Melbourne please tell us which airline we can use and the process?

    try Sir Lankin airlines that's where I booked mine 😄

    no worries buddy, don't be stressed -

    if you hear no news its actually a good thing! its just for Afghanistan it takes much longer unless your lucky I had family take up to 6 - 9 months when they applied I know people that waited 3 years that's because of errors, I called up a while back and they said if they don't reject after the 9-10 month they won't decline after unless its fake. so don't stress just pray and everytime your on the phone to your partner, screen shot it and merge it into one PDF and upload every month that shows use are still communicating (that's one question they asked and they were like oh don't worry I see use talk a lot because of the uploads) 😄

    my first interview was march (they called my partner)  and recent interview was last week Monday (they called me). yeah its a long wait iv been waiting for 23 months so I'm sure you'd hear good news. make sure your uploading docs at least every month!

    yeah don't stress they are on it! a lot of people I heard will be getting it this month inshallah we all be one of them!

    yeah she is from Afghanistan and processing in Dubai - I had a interview last week Monday btw asking general questions afterwards we got a request for more docs ie - health exam and my police check since they both were expired. they sounded positive inshallah I believe in it will come within a month 😄

    My partner faced so much trouble last time he wanted to get the visa. He had to go to kandahar to get it. I'm not too sure how the situation is like now. Honestly it shouldn't be that difficult but the officials making it harder and more expensive

    Your Welcome and yeah unfortunately, I was lucky my brother in law had connections or else it would of taken 1 month for my wife to get a visa to Pakistan 😞

    some people told me their application will get declined, so I'm not too sure to be honest if its true but yes its best to let your agent know so they are prepared to apply for extension in a worse case situation, because its a hassle getting a visa in Afghanistan its like a 2 week wait?.

She said she can request for him to do his medical and biometrics but since it was early stage of covid, we had to wait. Now she has sent me the referral letter and it says that he has to do it within 28days of receiving the letter

    Yeah its 28 days, it shouldn't be a hassle though I'm sure flights in Afghanistan and Pakistan are running. but yeah get it sorted out if you need more time email the embassy, I'm assuming it would be Dubai.

    No news from Immigration. But I requested my agent to send us the referral letter for medical and biometrics. We want to do it beforehand as we don't know by the time immigration requests it, would all the offices be operating due to COVID19. It is safer nowadays. For medical I know it expires after 12months, how about biometrics? Does it also have an expiry date?

    How about your husband? Was he requested by immigration to do his medical and biometrics or he uploaded upfront?

    I thought you'd get a letter once you paid for the application, once I applied for my partner which she is in Afghanistan I got a letter saying she needs to do health exam and biometrics. I also believe if you don't do biometrics after I think its 1 month they won't accept because I applied for extension so my wife got enough time to go Pakistan. correct me if im wrong though my application was 2 years ago. could have changed
