  1. Hi guys

Finally its my day. I got my PR yesterday.

But it was tough journey for me from 457 to 186 trt.

Nomination and visa Applied Nov 2019

    Nomination approved March 2020

S56 request same day March 2020

But no reply  from the department till March 2021

S56 request position availability and proof of wage. New AFP as well.

S64 invoice for 2nd vac in April 2021

And visa approved on 31 May 2021.

    Job Furniture maker.

Thanks guys for helping me and other group members. I will you all get your visa soon. Pray hard. Its hard to wait but stay strong.

    God bless you.

Thanks for the response @Hex. Yeah.. I'm missing my 1 yr old daughter 😞. Also, just wanted to check if there are TRT applications here as most of the Software engineer applicants I've seen in this thread are DEs.

Its hard for every one, who is waiting. Especially those who are waiting like me from Nov 2019. My daughter is also offshore and living apart from us more than three years. Hope we get good news soon.

    ● ● ● ● ●
Were any staff let go or made redundant due to COVID-19?
Is the nominee still employed full time in the nominated position?
Is the position still open and available to the nominee?
What measures were put in place for staff during shutdown?
Was there a period of stand-down/reduced hours, if so, What were they?

Did immigration asked these questions after nomination approval?

    Thanks

Yup, the original ones were over 12 months old. I applied in may 2018!

Thanks for your reply, my medical and AFP has been expired from December 2020. Can you please explain how it works. Should I wait for the request from immigration or get it done before they ask.

    Thanks

I just heard from my agent that immigration has requested confirmation from my employer of roel availability for coming 2 years. The nomination was approved over 2 years ago so makes sense they need this.

Our agent advised this usually is indicative of a decision when confirmation is received. Has anyone had this request and how long before you received a decision?

Did you get your medical and police clearance twice.

Got email from immigration this morning asking for letter from employer if the position is still available. Signature updated. Happy to see some movement.  Status changed to initial assessment.

Hi Guys. I am interested to know if anyone medical is expired or about to expire while visa application still not finalised. It seems we cannot do new medical until CO ask to do?

Same question I was going to ask, my medical is received and ok. But it is going to expire in November. Even my Pcc as well.

    Any idea what will happen.

    Thanks

The rule is apply on time you apply, if you already applied then you follow old rule. Its grandfathering law.

As I said before When I applied 457, government used to give 4 years visa and  my file was already in progress, still new rules applied on me. I got 2 years visa. After that I never believe that if your file is already being processed,  old rules are applicable. I might be wrong  for future but that was my experience.
