  1. Hi, can anyone recommend a reliable and reasonably priced migration agent? We are potentially looking to apply if/when we find a sponsor for a TSS 482 Visa and it would be helpful to have a reputable agent ready to hand. I know it can vary but what would you say the average cost of an agent is? Your help would be much appreciated
  2. Hi, can anyone recommend a reliable and reasonably priced migration agent? We are potentially looking to apply in the next year if/when the boarders open and if/when we find a sponsor for a TSS 482 Visa. Your help would be much appreciated.
  3. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Any suggestions on best sites to register CV for sponsorship, or would it come under the normal recruiter like Indeed? Also, what's everyone's thoughts on Brisbane? What are the reasonable living areas cost wise? Also is there much going in there? When I look online it seems like there's lots of art and museums? We like to be outdoors amongst nature/wildlife, beeches and being close proximity to heritage/steam trains would be brilliant.
  5. Ok, so it's now 12am and we have just finished working out our budget. We have decided to register my husband's CV and keep our options open as to where we'd move if a sponsorship came up. We are grateful that we enjoy our family time in the nice area we currently live in, so if the opportunity never comes up we are not going to feel disappointed or like we've missed out, especially as we have already visited Oz and possibly will again on holiday. What are the most popular sites to register CV for a sponsored vacancy? Thank you once again for all of your help.
  6. Marisawright has been so help, everyone obviously has their own opinions and it's good to hear them. It makes sense what you're saying though, many many people obviously want to be there for a reason. We are sitting down this evening (hopefully) to work out our potential budget. I believe the property we'd be able to afford without me working would be 750 pw, possibly lower or possibly higher. I will let you know once we have a better idea.
  7. I will look further into Sutherland Shire.
  8. I have checked and I think the individual was getting confused with the 457 visa not 482.
  9. I'm being told on another forum that there's apparently a potential 3 year wait for Temporary visas at the moment. I guess we will have to decide what we want to do and then put this idea to bed if it's not going to be possible. I appreciate everyone replying. I've found your advice very helpful. I welcome extra information if anyone feels it might help. Many thanks
  10. What are the areas a little further out of Sydney centre like for living and commuting? Places such as : South Coogee, Marourbra, Little Bay etc.
  11. Also, if prices are just too much for us to balance. Where would you recommend looking? I know it would depend on work but we have seen a number of potential vacancies. Brisbane being one of them. My son is very much into steam trains and it would be lovely to be near somewhere that can satisfy his interest.
  12. I know it is very expensive to rent but so I can guage and idea of round about costs in the suburbs of Sydney, from your own experiences what suburbs are reasonable prices (although I know potentially very expensive), have good state school? so I can compare costs. Many thanks
  13. I understand I will be expensive, but could you break the £60k down a little for me please. We are looking at finances later tonight.
  14. Thank you, I appreciate your honest opinion.
  15. That's interesting. Although I will be a SAHM so likely no job for me while we are there. So ultimately, taking into consideration all the hard work you have to go through to get out to Oz and taking my son out of school for likely 3 years, do you think it is worth doing for temporary amount of time? Would you?
  16. Thank you all so much for taking the time to reply. Marisawright thank you for your really informative message about costs etc, it's really hard to know where to start and that has helped a lot. My husband's job is on the skilled list (and my old job as a hairdresser but that's not something I want to do). His job is in quite a specialised IT field. We have already seen quite a few vacancies in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide... It could be another story getting a sponsor but we will just have to see how that goes if we decide to take the leap.
  17. LKC I'm pleased for you. Life does have a way of working itself out. So your kids were 9 & 11 when you returned to Scotland? How long was you in Sydney for? Where about did you live?
  18. Ok, well at least we know not to expect anything but I guess we can only ask.
