Hi Everyone,
If Employer is applying for Job Keeper payment due to Covid, Will that Employer still eligible to sponser 186 visa where they need to show a position for next 2 years?
Employer saying jobkeeper payments will be impacted as they are contradicting one side jobkeeper and otherside visa sponser for a job.
Your thoughts please?

My employer applied for jobkeeper across all employess except me (since I was not eligible), they still got the nomination approved recently (check signature). Don't worry about it.

Do not have the accurate answer to this, but - my MA told me that they don't really need any other national ID other than the passport. In other words, any other ID is optional.
Thanks for the reply.
Just wanted to know if anyone has faced the surname problem before.

Hi, Can anyone help me with this (Re: 186 DE)?
My national ID (including DL, Tax ID/PAN card) does not have a surname whilst passport, matriculation certificate, all other Australian documents have a surname. I am waiting to hear back from my MA.The immi website states
QuoteAlso provide:
- a national identity card, if you have one
- proof of change of name
Documents that prove a change of name include:
- a marriage or divorce certificate
- change of name documents from an Australian Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, or the relevant overseas authority
- documents that show other names you have been known by
My question is can I get away with providing passport, my matriculation certificate (with the surname) and a marriage certificate (which also includes surname)?
If not, what are my options as I cannot update names cause I cannot travel to the home country and names can only be changed in person.

what? Either this is a bug or they have started to send GTI invites to 186 applicants. Either way this is surprising.

Paid up all expenses my self.
hard to work in status quo environment...
getting an opportunity with better career growth, learning and to outgrow my skills.. last but not the least.. remuneration..
what should i do in that case?
Sorry, for bumping this old thread.
Would love some clarification on what the employer has to pay and what the employee (I in this case) has to pay:
Employer:
1. Skill levy
2. Nomination Fees
Employee:
1. Visa fees
2. Partner fees
3. Medical fees
4. Skills assessment
5. English Paper fees
Is the above list correct?
Would the employer or I have to pay for the MARA agent?

Hey guys. Any updates?

Another question is - Which part of the costs can the employee bear? I am ready to bear the Mara agent costs if needed. Would it affect the application?

As the title suggests, I have been working in Australia for the past 1 year on a subsequent entrant visa with full working rights as a software engineer (261313). My company wants to sponsor (186 DE
) and has asked me to look into the requirements. My questions are:1. Am I eligible for being sponsored? As I'm on a subsequent entrant visa.
2. They are a software product company with a medium to large user base. They have just acquired a funding round in Feb. Also, they are in business since 2014. This would be their first sponsorship application. Would they be eligible for sponsoring?
3. Let's say they are eligible, what is the ballpark fees the company has to pay for this application?
4. How much time it would take for the whole process if everything goes ideally?
They want me to work with them for a foreseeable future and would/could do anything to help me. Also, I have done my skills assessment from ACS (positive), got my English test results (superior).
Thanks.
