Yes i hear you. I am at 19 months now so beyond processing times but pretty much told they arent processing 309/100 for ppl onshore on visitor visa so be patient and wait. Very frustrated by the whole immigration process. Have REALLY tried to be positive through the last 19 months but my patience is now wearing very thin.
@Ben34uk i was wondering how yours was progressing (or not it seems). Hope you get some postive news soon.
Yep we've basically been told they won't process ours until he is offshore. i've written to my Federal MP asking if they can look at waiving the requirement for applicants to be offshore at time of grant, given then extenuating circumstances we are in.

I am so beyond frustrated with this whole process. Because my husband is in Australia (on a bridging visa) our application has been put on hold (seemingly indefinitely) because they can't grant his 309/100 until he is offshore - and with the travel restrictions in place who knows when borders will reopen. We lodged our application nearly 17 months ago now and still waiting. It's all messed up thanks to Covid
-
I did get an email this morning saying "your application is progressing".
I'm guessing that there are some delays going on, so it was good to get something, especially given it is now a year since we lodged At least we are luckier than some, my hubby is here in Australia with me.

Finally received an RFI - we need to submit a stat dec re a police clearance from a country we used to live in but can't get a clearance from online (and can't go in person!) so need a waiver.
What a relief that there is movement! We lodged in March and I was worried our other police clearances would expire soon (we had about 4 each, since we've lived all over the place). We had submitted a stat dec previously but it wasn't on Immi's official stat dec form I guess.

the BV came into effect the next time he was due to leave Aus, and it was given with full working rights.

Confused please help my husband has arrived in Australia on his subclass 600 visa and now immiaccount is giving us the option foe a bridging visa b. Has anyone else applied for this and how does it work I have no idea. Thanks congrats to everyone with their grants. X
We had the same - hubby came to Aus on a 651 visitor visa and were granted a bridging visa while here. This is now in effect so it makes the wait a lot more bearable for hubby!

Hi all,
updated spreadsheet!
@SpaintoAus @JJ678 you guys heard anything yet?
Nothing, zip, nada I'm hoping this week is our week, especially since so many lodged after ours have been approved, so we can't be far behind.

Beginning to feel like they have forgotten our application, after seeing all these grants. We applied March 4 and still waiting

Hi agmc
Congratulations I'm really pleased for you.
Could I just double check when you applied. You've said May - and that you got an RFI only a few days later? Did you mean March? Only wondering as they seem to have skipped April applicants!!!
They also seem to have skipped a lot of March applicants

@SpaintoAus have you checked this out with with a migration agent?? Please please be careful that you are remaining lawful. The bridging visa usually carries the same working rights as that visa you have been on (the expiring one) NOT the one you have applied for.
as I’m sure everyone is aware, immigration are known to visit these forums and although it’s a long old wait, it’s worth the advice just to be sure you’re not scuppering your whole future.
I called the immigration department and spoke to them directly about the conditions and they told me it was all good.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas UK offices should now be open after the holiday break. Clutching at straws now in the hope we get some approvals. If not I'm going back to Northern Ireland just before the 15th Jan as my visitor visa is up. I applied for a bridging visa in the hope I don't have to leave but I have resigned myself to the probability that I will. Hoping we get movement this wait it unbelievably hard.
Good luck on the bridging visa! I was shocked when they granted my husband's. His becomes active on the 13th January, and he's been offered a job already to start on the 13th! It's a massive relief, and a bright spot while waiting for the 309/100

I don't know to be honest; my RFI has no details on it other than the case officers first name, Position Number, and 'Department of Home Affairs'. I won't post the details for obvious privacy reasons. I'm not sure how the applications are divided by office, either by passport (which would mean London), place applied from (Jakarta), or where the MA who submitted the application is (Australia, but doubt it's this option). I did ask about that previously, but nobody has been able to give me an explaination!
As far as I know, it is based on where you lodged the application, not your passport. Therefore, yours should be processed in Indonesia, but it won't be London that's for sure

Hey all!
Just a quick one to let everyone know, that after applying on 21/6/19, I recieved an RFI this morning for police clearance from various countries, health check, and form 80.
Funnily enough I had my medical done yesterday and applied for my police certs last week, so pretty good timing. Happy to see some movement, unforutnate I didnt do all of this one week earlier!
I applied from Bali while on holiday, we're using an australian immigration agent, and in Australia on a bridging visa (not linked to our 309/100 application).
Happy to be added to the spreadsheet, and also happy to help set it up in google sheets like in other channels so that it is a live doc and can be edited by approved people...just putting it out there!
Glad to see some movement, but aware that after submitting this information I may still be waiting a while...
Because your application was lodged in Bali, won't it be processed in Jakarta?

You can add me to the spreadsheet - Lodged 4 March, no RFI yet

So we lodged our application March 4, and my husband and I travelled to Australia at the end of March - he has been here on an eVisitor visa, having to leave every 3 months for a quick visa run to NZ. Way back in June we applied for a bridging visa so that he could stay until the 309/100 was granted but we were told he was not eligible for it because the 309 was lodged offshore. A couple of weeks ago we got an email saying he had been granted the bridging visa anyway, which becomes active in early Jan (on the date he was supposed to leave for his next NZ visa run) - meaning he can now stay in Aus until the 309 is granted (he will have to leave for the grant). They also put no conditions on it, which i think means he has full work rights! So it's not the 309/100 grant but I'm not complaining

Can someone confirm that if you apply for a 309 visa from the UK, it is processed by a case office in the UK? Or is still processed in Australia? Sounds obvious but as the log in times on the IMMI website refer to Australian times, this is where my uncertainty comes from.
any sensible answers appreciated, I have given myself enough silly replies already.
Thanks
Damian
As far as I know applications lodged in the UK are processed in the UK.

Hi all,
My visa grant (309) came today!
Super excited and already planning our move early next year!
Congratulations! That's so exciting, and one step closer to March applications

Hi all,
I lodged my application in Spain (processed in London) on 04 March 2019 - have uploaded all requirements. Had no RFI so still waiting (not very patiently anymore!!).
Glad to hear that they are processing some of the Jan applications, hopefully that means March isn't too far away. Hubby is now in Australia on a tourist visa, but that expires in march 2020 so I'm really hoping his 309/100 is granted before then.

Oh i agree that because it is a regulation it is very unlikely to be waived, but there is no harm in trying. I am grateful he is here with me and our baby, but it's so frustrating knowing that we might be waiting months (years???) longer.
