  1. Thanks for the advise folks, definitely think we'll have to start looking at Agents, we were hoping our situation would be simple enough to do it ourselves, but that seems optimistic. Thanks Paul appreciate it! What info will you need to take a look for us? I'll get the docs scanned and everything then pop it over to you to see what you think.
  2. Hey folks, hope some of you wonderful people can help me. My wife and i are looking at the 189 skilled individual visa, with her as the main applicant, as an Early Childhood (pre-Primary) Teacher. She currently works as an Early years teacher, with EYTS (early years teacher status). We've come to a bit of a hurdle, in so much as the Early Years post grad qualification she has (EYITT - Early Years initial teacher training) doesn't look like it's recognised in Oz, as the qualification doesn't include an academic transcript. She's got the certificate, she's got more than enough hours of supervised teaching, all documented from Warwick university, but there was no academic transcript issued. It's quite a new British qualification (2010) and was provided by a training provider, in partnership with warwick University (certificate and supervised teaching evidence provided by Warwick university) She has a 3 year degree in English (giving top points in English language section) A 3 year degree in Occupational Therapy And this 1 year part time EYITT qualification, too. From what we can see, that's plenty of years of further education (6 full time, 1 part time) but depending what is meant by... ...on AITSL, possibly not enough in Early Years teaching specifically? - does "part time equivalent" mean more years to be the equivalent of 1 year full time?? or is a part-time employment based qualification the "equivalent" of a full time course? We're trying to get Warwick university to provide written confirmation of her grades, courses and modules within the EYITT, but will that satisfy AITSL as a transcript? Not sure where to go from here, our hearts are set on Oz, we have family over there currently (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins), and more family heading there soon (wife's father and step-mum) and we're planning to sell up here, pool resources and live together with the in-laws in Brisbane. (Wife's step-mother is an Australian citizen, Dad is applying for a spouse visa) - we were planning on buying a house for all of us, and looking after the olds in Oz for the rest of their days. Has anyone had any success with AITSL on the EYITT qualification? Are there other routes available with it? Should we be looking at even more additional qualifications? Or sponsorship etc? Thanks in advance for any help, reassurance, or advice.
