Are you sure about this?? I would think you lose your bridging visa as soon is a decision (grant or refusal) is made??? Better ask an MA to be sure

I think its a grey area what happens to your bridging visa if decision was made when you outside the country. I would advise you consult with two separate migration agents to get correct info. Logically, the visa should not be revoked immediately since you have time to appeal a decision, but as mentioned MA will be to advise.

So so far is 4 pr granted today or Am I missing anyone? Finger crossed for the rest of us.

I appreciate the camaraderie on this forum, everyone always wishing the best for next person whilst in this wait. 4 one day sounds like a huge positive compared to last week when there was absolute silence...

    Hi there,

I'm about to lodge an application having had my nomination submitted by my employer. I'm wondering if anyone would have a good recommendation for an affordable agent? Or strong views on whether an agent is necessary?

    Many thanks!

Depends with complications of your application, if you don't feel confident then an MA is advisable because the changes that happen frequently means getting someone with experience is worth it. After getting PR the cost will be worth it and also peace of mind.

Sorry @Ayudante this is not accurate. In these situations the company and ABN number plays a massive role in the visa validity.

"If the ABN has changed then you need to inform that the business has changed hands, this should be just a formality rather than cancelling the application. The reason is that the business need for you hasn't changed so they still need you in the role. Businesses change hands and i am sure they can't be cancelling applications just because owners have changed, especially if operations of the business are not changed. A good example if Coles was sold from owner A to owner B the employees are still required, so the change of hands should not impact applications. "

    Also, incorret;
If the ABN has changed, this would drastically impact the visa and nomination.
    - You would need to withdraw and reapply for both a new nomination (and in turn a visa).

I don't mean to be picking on you, but providing wrong information could be detrimental to people cases, so when in doubt - i'd suggest to rather not.

@Hex thanks for the clarification didn't realise that the impact would be that significant of the business was still operational and the new owners were interested to continue the sponsorship. As mentioned in examples if Coles or Woolworths changed ownership I would expect those ABN changes to affect all their applications that are pending. I guess in doubt people should consult with a registered migration agent.

How did they approve your nomination if the business was sold to another entity ?.

    I think you were lucky 🍀 .

Application was probably approved on documents submitted in primary application. The dept cant track business changes of ownership in real time, sometimes they depend on applicants updating them of changes that might affect their application.

Hi guys, i applied 186 TRT visa applied on August 2018 as Restaurant Manager.

My nominations have been approved on 1st June and they ask for my police clearance from Australia and overseas on 12 jun which I already submit on same day.

But unfortunately my restaurant just sold to other employer, will that effect on my application???

Is the restaurant still operating? Do you still have a job? If the answers are yes then they shouldn't be an issue. The sponsorship is for the role not the business owner, however if the new owner feels otherwise then you have an issue. I hope that makes sense? The visa is about the job and if that is still available then application should still be valid.

After refusal of student visa can I apply 187 visa.

    thanks

There is very little information to help you with an outright answer. Yes and No, which getting a previous denial doesn't exclude you from making any future applications it will just make it more difficult. The most important question is "genuineness" which will be assessed on your applications. If you move from student to 187 then maybe on your student application you were not fully genuine, but this is just opinion. A lot of factors will be considered and information compared between your various applications to find a common theme.

Its very quite from long time

I dont see any approvals in this forum from last month

    Why its very quite ?

    Anyone have any idea?

There could be many reasons and it seems the EOFY could be one cause or maybe their giving priority to other categories. The reasons could be many we can only merely speculate at the cause, the best is just to be patient...

I appreciate if somebody answer to this question ?

I would believe that the department will have that information captured int the system. i would also think that there is somewhere in the application where they ask for nomination reference number. If none have been provided then go with the advise and just provide a copy as requested.

Hi guys I need a suggestion from you all as I am waiting for so long for my 186 visa almost 22 months for cook occupation .I am thinking to apply for 190 visa as a chef .My point is 75.

do you thing it’s a good decision or I should wait for the visa outcome? They didn’t touch my file not even nomination is approved  I spent almost $10000 for my ens application including migration agent fee. This waiting is killing me day by day.

If I withdraw my 186 application am I eligible to get the refund?

I am sure you have received plenty of advise on this one. The one crucial element you want to remember in all this is genuineness. If you start shifting visas it will show that you more than willing to gain visa at all costs, which can come and haunt you genuineness and also with different applications comes the danger of conflicting information.

So frustrating to wait ,can see others get approval after short period, even we have updated all documents up to date.it seems  cook applications are not very concerned.is there anyway of checking or fast track the application ....

I think is it important to look at this issue from a different perspective. When you do budget for your house they are things that are important to have like food, water, electricity etc. Every week you try and make sure that you buy them first and when you have extra change then you buy other things like chocolate etc. It is similar with immigration their times when certain skills become crucial and they would process applications for those first and their times when chocolate will become a priority as well when you craving and applications for those are processed. Be patient with time your application will be reviewed and you will get feedback.

Hey guys. I have applied in March. Last week the immi called me asking for AFP and today, the business was asked to provide: updated Business Activity Statement of the last quarter as well as an Accountant Letter and the turnover expected for July 2019. Are those bad signs? 😬😬😬

Actually it is a good sign it means someone has opened your file and realised that their crucial documents that they want you to provide in order to progress your application. My advise is make sure that your agent/business submits those documents so that they are inline with initial financials as you stated in your application.

    Hi all,

Question here, my husband got a job at KPMG which is one of Australian accredited companies... I asked my migration agent to add his updated resume to our application as I think that this would help our case.

They informed me that this wouldn't help at all our process, but I recall sending his resume when we applied.

Does anyone know if this could help?

    Thank you 🙂

I trust any information that you provide is usually helpful to any application. They are many things to consider when they make these decisions e.g. level of education of the other spouse, what value they will bring to the country etc. if you have anything that you feel can add value then it will worthwhile including it.
