  1. Congrats I am sure you over the moon....enjoy the moment it was worth the wait.
  2. I think its a grey area what happens to your bridging visa if decision was made when you outside the country. I would advise you consult with two separate migration agents to get correct info. Logically, the visa should not be revoked immediately since you have time to appeal a decision, but as mentioned MA will be to advise.
  3. I appreciate the camaraderie on this forum, everyone always wishing the best for next person whilst in this wait. 4 one day sounds like a huge positive compared to last week when there was absolute silence...
  4. Depends with complications of your application, if you don't feel confident then an MA is advisable because the changes that happen frequently means getting someone with experience is worth it. After getting PR the cost will be worth it and also peace of mind. https://migrationdownunder.com/
  5. @Hex thanks for the clarification didn't realise that the impact would be that significant of the business was still operational and the new owners were interested to continue the sponsorship. As mentioned in examples if Coles or Woolworths changed ownership I would expect those ABN changes to affect all their applications that are pending. I guess in doubt people should consult with a registered migration agent.
  6. Application was probably approved on documents submitted in primary application. The dept cant track business changes of ownership in real time, sometimes they depend on applicants updating them of changes that might affect their application.
  7. If the ABN has changed then you need to inform that the business has changed hands, this should be just a formality rather than cancelling the application. The reason is that the business need for you hasn't changed so they still need you in the role. Businesses change hands and i am sure they can't be cancelling applications just because owners have changed, especially if operations of the business are not changed. A good example if Coles was sold from owner A to owner B the employees are still required, so the change of hands should not impact applications.
  8. Is the restaurant still operating? Do you still have a job? If the answers are yes then they shouldn't be an issue. The sponsorship is for the role not the business owner, however if the new owner feels otherwise then you have an issue. I hope that makes sense? The visa is about the job and if that is still available then application should still be valid.
  9. You almost there hang in there good news is coming soon. Just remember you closer to the golden ticket than you were when submitted the application, i know it won't be much consolation...
  10. I am sorry to hear about your refusal, I know it is difficult There is very little information to help you with an outright answer. Yes and No, which getting a previous denial doesn't exclude you from making any future applications it will just make it more difficult. The most important question is "genuineness" which will be assessed on your applications. If you move from student to 187 then maybe on your student application you were not fully genuine, but this is just opinion. A lot of factors will be considered and information compared between your various applications to find a common theme.
  11. There could be many reasons and it seems the EOFY could be one cause or maybe their giving priority to other categories. The reasons could be many we can only merely speculate at the cause, the best is just to be patient...
  12. I would believe that the department will have that information captured int the system. i would also think that there is somewhere in the application where they ask for nomination reference number. If none have been provided then go with the advise and just provide a copy as requested.
  13. I am sure you have received plenty of advise on this one. The one crucial element you want to remember in all this is genuineness. If you start shifting visas it will show that you more than willing to gain visa at all costs, which can come and haunt you genuineness and also with different applications comes the danger of conflicting information.
  14. I think is it important to look at this issue from a different perspective. When you do budget for your house they are things that are important to have like food, water, electricity etc. Every week you try and make sure that you buy them first and when you have extra change then you buy other things like chocolate etc. It is similar with immigration their times when certain skills become crucial and they would process applications for those first and their times when chocolate will become a priority as well when you craving and applications for those are processed. Be patient with time your application will be reviewed and you will get feedback.
