Hi, we have the same timeline. Nomination and visa application were approved all at the same day.

Hey guys , our nomination was approved on 20th of April., they asked some information from my husband who is second applicant,, in this case do they hold my visa as well ..? Any guesses ? Or they can take decision on my application separate?

No man I paid 6k Proffesional fee to my migration agent and she is telling she can’t do anything just wait for the correspondence

I am sure you can always ask your MA to email immigration about it... have you even done any bridging visa after you applied for 186 in 2017...

@Dip I have done my application by myself - do you know if it makes a difference? I have submitted all the documents.

Only if your case is not complicated as mine ..i was just asking another person in a group cause he is waiting from past two year for his file to open  ... he applied in 2017 for 186.... i can see below your nomination has been approved .. i am sure u will be fine..

I'm surprised your migration agent would include parents/siblings in your application as non-migrating family members since the legislation was changed well over a year ago that they are not eligible.  Is this a registered migration agent?  Or did they not complete the application for you?

Well my nomination just got approved ..as my lawyer checked for me.. i am sure urs is approved as wwell

    Hi everyone,

I logged into Immi today and saw that my status changed to Initial Assessment on Thursday.  I have an action required which is S56 Request for More Information.  The attachment is entitled 'Request Checklist and Details' and the detail is: "You have included your parents and siblings as non-migrating family members in the visa application. Please note that parents and siblings are not considered as non migrating members of the family unit of the visa applicant, and therefore cannot be assessed further if they meet the requirements of non migrating dependents for this 186 visa application. If you wish to withdraw the non migrating dependents from the visa application, you need to notify the Department in writing within 28 days after you have received this letter."

After doing some research, it looks as though my Migration Agent has missed the definition of 'non-migrating family memebrs' as I have included my parents and siblings in the application.  Can anyone confirm this is correct?

Also, I imported my application and when I log in I see the action required. Does this mean that my nomination has been approved if they are now looking at my visa application?  I know my Migration Agent can enlighten me but she is away until tomorrow and I am being impatient!

Even i am on the same boat , i also don't know how to check my nomination thing?  Got this email from Co about form 80 to correct info for my partner. Now i am.thinking if my nomination is approved already ?? 😞😞😞  .. have to wait for my lawyer to come back from holidays

I got a message from MA saying "It was not a formal request from the Department whatsoever. The system generate automatic notification for all applicant to provide necessary documents including medical examination and police clearance as ENS section want all documents decision ready (they don’t want to send request notification)." But i saw other's post  regarding request for medicals. Looks like i got a automated request . Did you get an automated request too?

Yes i got the automated email from immigration , but i did the medical and police checks in advance in Jan cause i didn't want to delay my application ...after getting auto email from immi , my employer just updated his documents ... but on 22nd i got this update from CO that we have some issues with form 80 so now we have to correct the information ...

    Hi Dip,

There is nothing to worry because your partner can always justify that he used a different name to make it easier for his clients.

As long as your partner has registered the same name under his ABN, you guys should be fine. Moreover didn’t you declare in the application that your partner is also being known with a different name.

Thanks for the reply , no he didnt  cause this name is no where on the papers , just his clients likes to call him by this name so just to get more business he kept this name on website ..

  9. Hi Everyone,

Me and my partner is waiting for our 186 visa which we applied last year May 2018,  we got this email from immigration on 4/04/2019 that soon CO for our file would be allotted. .

My employer updated all the information to date ..

Yesterday we got this message from  case  manager that the second applicant's ( my partner) business name on his online business is different than his name as he uses different name just  to name it easy for his clients but all his legal papers for business has his  original name... actually case manager checked his website and saw his changed name online..

I am sure we would be the first one to get this ... do anyone knows if it  can be a problem for our application.. any suggestion plzzzz
