  1. Points question. Hello all, I am an industrial electrician with experience in lifts and cranes and have been for the past 5 years. I have just finished my HNC in electrical engineering and I am about to move on to my HND. I am intending to top the HND up to a full electrical engineering degree via entry to the third and final year. When it has all finished, would I still be able to claim points on education for having an electrical engineering degree although all of my work experience was prior to having that qualification? I would probably be looking at the electrician (special class) as the route. Thanks all.
  2. Hey guys I was hoping someone could provide some clarification for me, I am currently an industrial/automated door engineer , when looking at the MLTSSL I was under the assumption that I would qualify as a maintenance fitter (specialisation of fitter general) as my job entails mechanical maintenance of the doors and their systems as well as the installation, maintenance and fault finding on the electric motors, I hold a NVQ level 2 in door engineering (we don’t hold a level 3) 18th edition wiring regulations and 2365 level 3 in electrical instllations (without NVQ) thanks for any replies.
