While on 457 if you are the main applicant you can only work for nominated employer.
However once your 186 visa is granted you can have a 2nd job
Thank you

Hi everyone... can I work 2nd job rather than my nominated employer on 186 visa...

Simply because I first took IELTS exam in order to apply for Bachelor at Uni, and when we first logged our visa application it was still valid but the nomination was refused. We decided to apply again for 186 but IELTS was already expired ( 1 year, 5 months) and my MA told us that I need to redo it.
Hello
Ielts is always valid for 2 years.
thank you

This is for the main applicant though... her query was regarding defacto ielts validity @natmis advised for secondary applicant it is only valid for one year - as she was in that situation and had to redo hers.
Yes that’s correct but if The English result was functional level than she may have to redo. secondary applicant need minimum 4.5 or functional English level.competent English level valid for 3 years

For the first question, your employer should write a letter to immi to confirm that they would like to extend nomination obligations to a dependent of xxx.
2. You should book an appointment for your kid with Bupa for a health check.
Thank you

Hi Laure,
Yes, the IELTS for the de facto partner who is a secondary applicant is only valid for one year. I had to redo mine.
Hi Laure..ielts is valid internationally for 2 years .but Australian immigration accept the language proficiency certificate which not older than 3 years.
functional English level result for secondary applicant no more than one year old..

One of my Friend was saying that all the Restaurant manager and Cook cases are getting very scrutinised. They often visit the Company as well which delays the process. I am not sure whether its true or false .
Hi Jerita,,
as long as if your are a genuine cook or restaurant manager it would not have any issue..
thank you

Hi
what I did was canceled my private health cover and aaplied for medicare as soon as I got the bridging visa granted . I had no issue with that . Just letting you know
cheers
Hello... yes there is no problem to cancel your private health insurance after getting bridging visa though you are entitled to get Medicare..BUT, i am not sure what visa you had before your 186 application.. if you was a 457 holder your bridging visa is not fully effective caz your 457 still active.. so to continue 457 you must comply the visa conditions,, mentaining the health insurance is one of them...
thank you

It’s so sad that how the timeline has jumped that high, before 457 to PR transition was a 6 months journey. Now it has become a journey of lifetime . It takes them 12 months to decide whether application is legit or not. In this waiting you are like a Zombie with no soul and you can’t plan anything. But when the amount get detected from our account it’s only one second thing
Painful waiting

If they ask documents for your application yes your MA will receive an email and you can also see it in the messages at immi account if you have already imported the application. If the documents requested are in regard of the nomination then no you don`t receive any email or message just your MA does.
Thank you so much for reply
