  1. Hi. Yes we managed to be successful we came back in 2007 at the age of 41 with 2 children. Like some have said it was a bit easier back then, but have to admit it was the most stressful time of our lives you need lots of cash and finding work can be hard due to the limit on hours you can work. And the changes they make can have a drastic affect once we were top of the list and would get our permanent visa in a few months and then they changed the waiting times and we fell to the bottom of the ladder with a wait time of years. We have known many people here who returned to the UK who were on a student visa it was just to hard for them, i guess we had a bit of luck along the way but i would not recommend it to anyone even more so as i believe it is now much harder it is just to stressful, i would always say train in the UK, some seam to think that living here on a student visa is like a permanent visa but far from it to many hoops to jump through and a ever changing occupation shortlist. We are now luckily citizens and for us things have worked out very well but i would be the first to admit we were a bit lucky at times but we did work bloody hard to achieve what we have. Hope this gives you a small insight into things good luck with your choices
