It really depends on how big the business is. My sponsor's business is not so big maybe that's why it takes so long. Been waiting for 20 months

My employer turnover around 1.8 million and problem is he sponsored 2 cooks and one restaurant manager no one got nominations approved. Waiting from nearly 23 months I applied in 2017 June.

Hi folks, anyone received nomination approval who applied June 2017 or before as a cook or Chef From South Australia?? My application only says received. How we know the nomination file progress? It’s only migration agent or we can see in immi account.

I know bro it is not mandatory for direct entry but i dont it for safe side if something goes wrong with my 187 application so i have another option to apply for 489/190. I cannot Immigration department they can refuse our application with silly reason.

Yes you right, have u submitted skill assessment outcome to immigration with 187 visa file?

I have done my skill assessment as a cook recently with positive outcome. If You need any help contact me.

Hi Garry did you submitted your skill assessment to immigration?this is not mandatory if you applied direct entry with Australian qualification. However, this might helpful to make strong file for nomination.

guys I would like to know something.

My employer said that the inside thing is that "specially for Indians" there is a internal scanning of 3 times for the papers submitted.

It is not any specific reason but few of Indian have provided fake or fordge documents.

He said that is one of the reason Indians are having a longer time than others.

Do you guys think this can be a good specific reason for delay ?

    Please share your views guys

U right many Indians caught on providing bogus documents and also exchanged in corruption to sale visa for sponsorship thats why these visas are delaying the process. Specially people who applied via hospitilty occupations such as Chef and cooks are more fake positions.

  10. Lies, Lies and Immigration. We've heard it all before, political statements, mostly false and misleading designed for a political outcome, not apparently for anything else. Forget about the intention of the migration program or the policy failings of the past, lets just talk about DAMA's. DAMA's, DAMA's, DAMA's, DAMA's, DAMA's. Enough already.....

Don't be fooled about DAMA's. These will not result in increased migration outcomes that will have a significant impact on the distribution of migration outcomes anytime soon. And, cutting the migration program to 160,000 will do nothing to stop population growth in big cities or ease congestion as they fail to cap the huge increases in temporary visa holders, enter the student visa program and international tourism.

This week it was announced that 23,000 permanent places would be allocated to regional Australia as part of the congestion busting policy of the PM and the Coalition Government. With the overall program now reduced from 190,000 to 160,000 - where will this allocation of visas come from, possibly from the 189 and ENS 186 programs.

None of the 23,000 places, not even one will be granted via the introduction or implementation of the SA DAMA. It will most likely take business 12-24 months until the first 482 visa is granted through the SA DAMA, then applicants will need to be employed for 2-4 years on the DAMA before being able to apply for one of the 23,000 permanent places. As a result it is going to be at least 4 years until the first permanent visa is granted to someone who enters under the SA DAMA program. I would hazard a guess that there has never, ever, ever been anyone in Australian immigration history who holds a PR visa through the DAMA program.

23,000 places for regional programs, that's probably just enough for the Department to process the backlog of RSMS 187 visa applications currently gathering dust at the Department, some of which were submitted back in 2016.

RSMS visa applications are currently taking 24 months to process, but I wonder if from next week, we will see a significant shift in processing time frames from 24 months to 24 days, or even less.

This would certainly allow the Government to say that their regional (DAMA) initiatives are having an immediate impact on the processing and approvals of regional visas, thus allowing the Government claim their changes are having an impact on the distribution of migration outcomes.

Only time will tell, but lets wait and see.

Hi sameer thank you for your suggestions

yes I do have 3years full time working experience as a chef and 2 and more years as a cook so I do have more then 5years experience. So could we apply for 190 or 489  with the initial skill assessment at the moment and get the other one after we apply for 190

anyone received visa as cook from SA.

    PR Granted today!

    Congrats guys

Hi everyone, if immigration start processing nomination file, what changes we can see our immi Account?? Initial assessment or we can’t see anything. It’s been nearly 22 months still waiting for nomination, position- cook applied June 2017. HR risk country. RCB grant in two weeks since then no news. 2 million turnover 35 employees casuals and full time. Sponsored only 2 cooks. No manager. The business is old but sold to new employer a who is running business from last 3 years. but previous employer sponsored more than 6 people for employer sponsored visa. Does it impact to new employees  anything about previous sponsored history of the business.

At the time of AAT decision the restaurant should be open, if the employer sold the business what happened?

On the reasons which the CO reject the nomination they check only those things or they will check other documents too?

    Please give your opinion.

BRo what happened to your nomination??

My nomination is finalized but visa status showing still received. My MA call her but the call is going to call center, he emailed her with evidence of poof. Still she can open my nomination file or not?

If your nomination refuses then either u need withdraw or you can wait until  visa refuse. You need to apply separate AAT for Nominations and Visa. If you have substantive visa you can apply new nominations and visa. Because without substantive visa you will have bar of section 48 apply.which is you can not apply any  visa and nominations within Australia
