Hi, We have applied for both a 190 NSW 75 points and a 189 70 points visa through my husbands occupation as a lift mechanic, we understand that the selection process has slowed down considerably and therefore we are thinking of adding myself onto the application to enhance our points. If we decide to add me onto the application I will have to have my skills assessed by ANMAC and require the IELTS or one of the other tests. However, if we don't add me on but I still wish to work as a nurse in Australia do I need to complete the IELTS, for just AHPRA application? Also has anyone tried the OET and felt that a B is achievable? we are from the UK and all my schooling has been in the UK. Thank you

Hi, we have submitted our 189 EOI in December with 70 points under skilled occupation 341113 lift mechanic as yet we have not been selected to apply, our question is should we also submit a 190 for the states that currently have this occupation which NSW and ACT (as far as we are aware) or hold out for a few more months (hopefully) to get the 189? Thank you

HI, We are new to this forum and looking for some advice, we have submitted out EOI and currently awaiting an invite (fingers crossed) Our questions is has anyone emigrated without a child? when I say child I should perhaps state that our daughter is 23 and is independent from us, she is in full support of us emigrating, however, I keep having overwhelming episodes of anxiety about being thousands of miles away should she need us and fill my mind with every scenario possible. has anyone else been in this situation? how did it work out?
