Is there any one who is waiting for QLD subclass 491 state nomination result? They have postponed giving nomination now. This is really a bad news for me.

I got invitation for state nomination application in the last week of March, 2020. I submitted my documents in the first week of April, 2020. How long does it take to get the outcome of state nomination application for subclass 491?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you will struggle to get an invite on the state selection 491 visa.
To put it bluntly a solicitor uses the English Language (at a very high level) both written and orally every day.
I'd be very surprised that a state selected someone with proficient rather than superior English for that career code.
You might want to spend some time getting the evidence for superior English
One of my friends contacted with QLD. They clearly informed him that they do not have cut off point for sub class 491. Any one having 65 should be fine. Please do not spread any wrong information to the applicants.

Increase your points or continue to wait - they are your only options

I have submitted EOI for QLD subclass 491 as a solicitor. I have only 70 points. I know this is very poor point. Did a NY offshore applicants get invitation for QLD subclass 491 with this point?

I have created one EOI for subclass 491. Now I want to create another EOI for subclass 491 for NSW. How can I create it?

I would create a separate EOI many states ignore dual elections of nomination as a matter of course since they only want to sponsor people who really want to be with them.
Just create a second EOI and you can withdraw whichever one does not result in the invite
I have not found option in the existing EOI add a new one. Will i use a new email address to create new EOI?

QLD seem to be prioritising onshore applicants first and then also 190 as their quota is running out.
There isn’t any harm in putting one in for NSW but do you meet the criteria? You have to be working there first
Are you living in queensland?

NSW has a separate category for offshore applicants with five years work experience, I will apply in the category. How to create EOI for NSW?

Hi,
I am interested to apply for Tasmania state nomination for subclass 491 as a solicitor. I was enrolled as a lawyer in Australia jurisdiction on 27.03.2017 and I have been practicing as a lawyer in Bangladesh since 2003. As i found that five years post qualification workforce experience is required for Tasmania state nomination for subclass 491. Will they accept my legal work experience which I gained in Bangladesh jurisdiction? My Bangladeshi job experience is absolutely closely related work experience of Solicitor occupation.
I would be grateful if someone could advice me.
Best regards.

Hi Zami,
My background is as a barrister. I applied for my 189 visa as a Barrister and I was only as a lawyer admitted to the SC of NSW. I did not need to apply for or be admitted as a barrister in Australia to apply for a 189 as a Barrister. Your admission certificate does the job of a skills assessment, which is why you don't need a letter.
Good luck
Hi Lawyerabroad,
I am not a UK Barrister. I am an advocate , Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Do you think that they considered you as a Barrister because of the fact that you practiced as a Barrister in UK?

Please see my previous answer. I used that information to establish I worked as a self-employed lawyer.
Hi Lawyerabroad,
Thanks for your reply.
Did you submit any bank statement or any proof of professional fee? I will submit following documents:
1. A good standing certificate from Bangladesh bar Council stating that I was enrolled as a Lawyer in Bangladesh on ..............date and practicing till today
2. A tax clearance certificate from Tax commissioner declaring that i paid all the taxing from ............date to ..............I will not submit tax returns for each year separately.
3. Membership certificate from Supreme Court bar association
4. Membership of Dhaka bar association
5. A statutory declaration from one of my client
6. A statutory declaration from a colleague in the Supreme Court
7. Some copy of pay orders received from clients
Would please let me know whether I need to submit anything else.?
Regards.

I did this by sending: 10 years' worth of electronic professional diary; 10 years' worth of insurance certificates; tax returns; and statutory declarations by colleagues confirming my experience.
Dear brother ,
Thanks for your reply.
Do you know what documents are required for proving work experience of self employed lawyer?
Regards.
