CO called my work place to confirm if I work there. I have called them almost 20 times but always same answer.... its under processing. File looks good. Please wait ....don’t know how long the wait is going to be ... hopefully we hear some good news soon !!!

    I know the feeling!! I hope and pray we will all get through this worst phase of waiting... Finger crossed!

    I have contacted them so many times also send follow-up emails. They always advise me that it still going through routine checkups.. I don't exactly know what does that mean!

If you are the main applicant and you are asking if you could leave your sponsored job to work elsewhere, then no - the new company would need to take over your sponsorship and you'd need to re-lodge. If you're asking, if you could work at a 2nd job, whilst still working at your primary job, then the answer is still no -
    - There are some legalities that could possibly get around this, however, if the department find out, there could be complete and immediate rejection of your application. (why risk it)
    2b) If you are not the main application, you can basically do what you want (in terms of work).

    Being that you have been waiting for so long and are now only on a bridging visa (basically at the mercy of the company you work for), I'd suggest staying with them and doing your due diligence to get through the days ahead. It shouldn't be too much longer now, surely!

    ABF Field visit : 30/06/2018 -requested all company documents -provided on 24/07/2018

    No response yet .

     I have completed  my 4 years in 457 visa . My 186 is still under process from last 23 months. I am just wondering if I can work elsewhere in bridging visa? will it effect my ongoing 186?

    Same things happened to my case,exactly the same.. it been 8 months and over no reply from ABF people yet....

    not much .. my company has sponsored 3 people and all of them had successfully acquired PR. I am not sure why they are suspecting so much..... It's been over 3 months after their visit and my employer submitted all requested documents as well.. still no response.

    Only your MA can ring and speak to your Case officer.  Depends on the migration agents. some migration agents have the dept. direct numbers to be honest.  You can't ring and ask for your Case officer as per my understanding. 

    Exactly same happened in my case .ABF made surprise visit to my work place and interviewed almost everyone and requested for documents.. no update from them yet...its been almost 3 months now..Any update on your case?

    Hi, looking for advice in my case..

    I applied my 186 TRT -STUDENT Counselor on April 2017 -additional requested on 15/01/2018- ABF Field visit - 29/06/2018 no response since then.

    My 457 is expiring on April 2019 ...  Please advise if i can apply for any other visa  -student visa or something? I really do not want to depend on 186  bridging ..If i apply for  studnet via,will my 186 bridging  visa will be cancelled? 

    Please advise... so freaking angry  and worried...

    Hi All, I applied my nomination application-186 TRT (Student counselor)) and visa application on 24/04/2017,further documents was requested on 15/01/2018 on nomination part . Surprise site visit by immigration officers on 30/06/2018, no update on my file yet ..19+ months waiting .. Anyone else from April 2017?
